R.I.P Adam Yauch aka MCA (1964 - 2012)

May 4th 2012 :

It's a sad day in the Hip Hop world. Adam Yauch aka MCA has passed on, at the tender age of 47.
In 2009 MCA  announced that he was diagnosed with cancer, which resulted in a canceled tour and delay of their album .
He had since undergone surgery and radiation therapy.

It is hard to grasp the world of Hip Hop without MCA, and the impact that the Beastie Boys had in the music industry.
They rocked the house with their songs  "Brass Monkey",  "Fight for your Right", " So Watcha Want"  to name a few.
The Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, less than a month ago.

Celebrating 28 Years and Still Growing Strong.

10.10.2011

·

On this day, 28 years ago, International News, Inc. shipped its first goods to 18 retailers around the nation. It was the start of something bigger than we ever could have imagined. Since then, the company pursued many endeavors including the birth of new fashion concepts, the launch of clothing brands, mentoring highly gifted students and watching their careers grow, bringing consumers world-class clothing stores, designing apparel, building friendships, and developing lasting partnerships. IN couldn’t have done all this without having the privilege of working alongside some of the industry’s most influential people. It was in these relationships that helped spread excitement around the fashion industry and supported the company’s long-lived success.

Today, IN continues to value innovation and maintains a sense of adventure, which has led to many great business achievements throughout the years. In 1985, IN was the first company to produce a “Got To Have” shirt in Bangladesh, which was long before the region had developed its apparel industry as we see it today. With the expertise of Raj Shah, Akhil Shah and the late Mike Alesko, the company built stores, design studios and manufacturing plants to span the globe. Since inception, IN has had the opportunity to work with many talented people. Their passion and dedication has helped bring forth IN’s global position within the apparel industry.

Throughout their lives, the people of IN will always appreciate Bob Cournoyer - U.S. Male in Memphis TN, Frank and Debbie Caruso - It's the Ritz - Birmingham MI, Izzy Israilson - Up Against the Wall - Long Rap - Washington DC, Dimitri Kavoura - Dimitris in Key West FL and Provincetown MA, Billy Rudnick - 4 Way Street in Coconut Grove FL, Ron Robinson - Fred Segal Melrose - Los Angeles CA, Ben Liske - Benjamins - Corpus Christi, TX and  Thomas George - E Street - Chicago IL.
